Today's one of those days...
Found an email lying on the table today and it was an article on
How To Have Intimacy With God.
- We must spend sufficient time with God alone
- We need to give reading and meditation of the Scripture high priority
- We must speak to God openly and hold nothing back
Hold nothing back...
What does it really mean ?
To me, holding nothing back would mean telling God our deepest secrets and concerns and expressing both positive and negative emotions to Him while trusting in God's love for us.
Yes of course, God knows what is in our hearts but we must learn to talk to Him transparently and surrender all that is close to your heart to Him.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm playing a game of tug-of-war with my heavenly father.
There seems to be many things that I love to take control of and not to hand it over to God and let Him handle it for me, but of late, I know He is telling me:
My child, trust me and let go.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For i know the plans i have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will come to me and i will listen to you.You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.I will be found by you"
At every different season of my life, God has told me to let go of several things. Sometimes, the process was painful and no doubt, I questioned God alot. But know something,
God never ever shortchange us and trust me, everytime He breaks us, it breaks His heart to see us cry too and that is something we are blinded to everytime we are in pain.
I'm just very very thankful that he never leaves us in our shards. God heals, moulds and never fails to restore us back.
"The world tells us, the only constant thing in this world is change,
