Had our first session of Girls brigade this afternoon.3pm. A total change, a different goal. 18th coy hasnt been the best comparing to the hundreds of company out there in singapore.but i can boldly say that it is one of the most united company ever.[esp in my eyes*] For us, my batch was the first and we had no officers and other helpers from the HQ, the seniors left and not many came back to help. We slackened alot in drill after josephine madm left and it was pretty much of a blow for us. I felt pretty lost and there was no longer as much enthusiasm in me to go for GB every saturday. Things grew better in our company when Jenny Madm and Auntie Grace came and help out.=) but still we didnt had any drill instructors who could teach us but by God's grace, we entered SYF and many drill competitions. Things remained the same, but 18th coy girls stood by each other always and here we are now!
I was really shocked when i heard abt all the changes that are gonna happen this year this afternoon. Stunned, but really excited. This year, we have only SEVEN girls who signed up to join GB. Tears nearly fell when i heard that. For the past three years, over thirty girls will join this big family,but this year....sigh.However im trying to focus on God's big plan with this seven girls, and im not gonna focus on the minute number of new recruits we are gonna have in 2005.
Auntie Grace is going to step down so that she can take good care of her new born grandson very soon. we're so excited for her man..hee!*Jia you!!auntie grace...uve been the 'mummy' to all of us in GB all this while.love u to bits!thk you sooo much* So....we are going to have two more helpers and three teachers in charge of 18th coy. For the very first time todae, i heard auntie grace talking to us really firmly about how she wants to get things right in this company. she laid the ground rules and we listened attentively. it was really such a wonderful moment, seeing everyone nodding in agreement and giving 100 percent attention. Things has never been this way for 3 whole years, and hey!its not too late to get things right in our company now yeahs? They reorganised the whole hierarchy thingy and changed posts of everyone..man, im still in drill comm, pretty excited though..but its so draining sometimes. i guessed God has planned for me to be really involved in GB for the next four months and i am willing to let him use me in everyway.haha..not gonna be M.I.A again like during the holidays...=X
It was a really great time of sharing just now in the prayer hub and never did i knew how pleased Jenny madm was with the year fours...so proud of all of you darrlingggs.....*big hug*
alrightys...i guessed its gonna be so exciting for all of us, since now we are running this company in a whole different way. Praying that everything will hit off properly this time round and i know that God will help us.
I was really glad that many agreed that christianity should be more emphasized in our company especially for us because we always have only ten minutes of sermon and thats all spiritually for our company. Remember to keep our eyes on God and that the GB is not all just about games and heavy drilling. *Seek, Serve and Follow Christ.* Live by this motto and serve actively girls. I love you guys so much and u guys are constantly on my mind.
